The Sewing Lab
The Sewing Lab is a program of Sew Loved Inc. (a 501c3 nonprofit organization). The Sewing Lab teaches sewing, employment, and life skills to young adult students in South Bend. The Sewing Lab is helping to fulfill the unmet demand for industrial sewing professionals in our region, enabling more young adults to qualify for the 1500-2000 available living-wage industrial sewing jobs in our region.
Students use their newly-acquired manufacturing skills to create products whose sales support The Sewing Lab and the ongoing programs of Sew-Loved. With every purchase, we support job training for living-wage employment opportunities, handing these students the keys to unlock their full potential.
HELP US EXPAND THE SEWING LAB
We are currently raising funds to purchase more equipment and hire teachers to expand The Sewing Lab, so as to accommodate more students and meet the high demand for industrial sewing professionals in our region. To help us meet this goal, we seek donations, corporate sponsors, and industrial sewing contracts. Join us!
